A Message from the Dean
The law is a powerful tool. Campbell University’s Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law views the practice of law as a calling, as well as a means to serve others and become effective advocates for legal and social justice.
Our demanding academic program will continually push students to analyze, think critically and problem-solve, equipping you with the necessary professional skills for a purposeful life of leadership and service. Campbell Law School graduates are marked by their ability to make an immediate impact in both private practice and public service.
We are small by choice. We value quality over quantity. At Campbell Law School, each student is an individual we know and care about – not a number.
The success of our legal education is built on our faculty’s profound commitment to students and teaching. You will find open doors to faculty who will mentor you, and who care about their teaching. Our faculty engages in meaningful scholarship, reflecting a quest for knowledge that informs their teaching, but never at the expense of your professional development. We take our mission of educating you seriously, because we know our students will impact many lives as attorneys.
We offer a Christian perspective on law and justice. We encourage students to examine the intersection of spiritual and legal issues. At Campbell Law School, they will explore the theological foundations of the law, and thoughtfully consider how to achieve a more just society. At the same time, our student body is diverse. We welcome students of all faiths and secular moral traditions. We are committed to free and open discussion of ideas.
Campbell Law School is indeed a place where great lawyers are made. Not an ordinary law school, we are extraordinary in our focus.
I hope you enjoy your visit to our web site. If you have any questions, my staff and I will assist you in any way we can.
Very best regards,

Melissa A. Essary
