  Student Honor Code

Campbell law students are expected to conduct themselves in a manner expected by the legal profession - as ethical lawyers. Anything less is unacceptable.

Campbell takes pride in providing law firms throughout the country with competent and ethical lawyers, which is accomplished in part through the Honor Code.

The Honor Code provides law students with a comfortable and exceptional framework within which they can conduct their academic and nonacademic affairs. The Honor Code is founded upon the mutual trust and respect between the students and faculty. The Code is not harsh, but realistic. As a result, there are few violations.

However, in the event of an infraction, the student has the option of being heard by the Honor Court, a group elected by the students. If found to be in violation by the Court, the student is sanctioned by his or her peers, under the direction of the Dean.

The students are proud of their Honor Code and strive to live by it daily so that it becomes second nature to them. The Honor Code is preventative in nature, and it works.
