About Morris: Morris is a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and is a Board Certified Specialist in Family Law, North Carolina State Bar Board of Legal Specialization. She was named in “Best Lawyers in America” in the area of Family Law in 2008. She has served on the Family Law Council of the North Carolina Bar Association and was chairman of its Public Relations committee. She is also involved with the Family Law Section of the Mecklenburg County Bar Association. Morris was granted Fellowship in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML), and is one of only 29 attorneys in the state of North Carolina to have been selected for this honor. Morris was honored by Best Lawyers in America with inclusion in its select directory in 2008, and was also selected by Law & Politics Magazine as a 2007 and 2008 North Carolina “Super Lawyer” for Family Law. She also volunteers with the Guardian Ad Litem program in contested custody cases.
